Wedding Celebration Cruise

Wedding Cruise

After the ceremony, the party moves to the water. A private harbour cruise gives you and your wedding party a moment to breathe, to actually be together and to see Copenhagen from a perspective that most people never get. The city feels bigger and quieter at the same time, and that combination does something good to a group of people who have just watched two people get married.

Photographer welcome: the backdrops speak for themselves

Morning and afternoon slots: flexible timing

2-hour scenic route: past Nyhavn, Christianshavn & more

Sunset or evening departure: your choice

Covered seating available: comfortable in all weather

Past the Opera House and out into the harbour

The route takes you out of the inner city and into the wider harbour, sailing past the Copenhagen Opera House with its dramatic waterfront setting. Further along you pass the old Citadel and, on a clear day, you can see all the way across the Oresund towards Sweden. It is a genuinely impressive stretch of water, and it makes for wedding photos that no rooftop venue can come close to.

The part of the day everyone keeps talking about

Weddings have a lot of moving parts. The cruise is the part where everything slows down. No schedule to follow, no seating plan to manage. Just your closest people, the open water and Copenhagen doing what Copenhagen does best. Guests who have been on one of these always say the same thing: it was the best part of the day.

What to expect on a cruise

[   01   ]

Arrival & check-in

Arrive 15 minutes before departure at the harbour in Nyhavn. Check in with your booking confirmation, meet your fellow passengers and step aboard.

[   02   ]

Cast off & canal tour

Your skipper takes you through Copenhagen's iconic canals, past Christianshavn, the Opera House and the colourful facades of the old town. Along the way, hear the stories behind the city.

[   03  ]

Open water & harbour views

The route opens up into the harbour, where you'll take in panoramic views of the skyline and sail past landmarks like the Little Mermaid and Kastellet.

[   04   ]

Return & farewell

After 90 minutes on the water, you cruise back to the dock. Step ashore with new stories, maybe new friends, and a completely different perspective on Copenhagen.

Our Route

You sail out of Nyhavn and through the inner city canals before the route opens up into the harbour. The Copenhagen Opera House sits right on the waterfront and makes for a backdrop that no ballroom can match. Further along you pass the old Citadel and the Little Mermaid before turning back towards the city with the skyline behind you.
